Safety (from Latin “sine cura“: without worrying) can be defined as “the knowledge that the evolution of a system will not produce unwanted circumstances”. In simpler terms: knowing that what we are going to do will not cause damages. The total safety is available only when there is no danger. In absolute terms, it is a concept hard to report in real life, even if the application of the safety rules makes harder the occurrence of harmful events or accidents, improving instead the quality of life.
